Community Service

Provide membership with the opportunity to help contribute to the Lancaster County community by working with other non-profits through community service projects, either with other LYP members through organized events or on an individual basis through the Ongoing Volunteers Opportunity Program (OVOP).  These projects vary from helping remodel a house with Habitat for Humanity to being an assistant coach for Special Olympics.

Finance

Oversees the financial operations of the organization and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors
on funding of LYP activities.

Membership

The Membership Committee recommends policies, procedures, and strategies for enhancing the membership in LYP both numerically and qualitatively to assure a growing and vital organization.

Professional Development

The Professional Development Committee is responsible for organizing professional/personal development seminars and events, securing speakers and presenters, establishing and maintaining partnerships with local colleges and universities, securing opportunities for outside professional development and MORE.

Public Relations

In charge of communicating information about our events and activities with membership as well as external marketing and public relations. Charged with managing, among other items, the LYP website, Insider e-newsletter, social media activity, press releases, photography.

Social

Responsible for planning and conducting social, networking and educational events for membership. Plans monthly networking mixers, approximately 2-3 social events per month, and educational seminars.
