LYP Mission + Vision

Mission

Lancaster Young Professionals provides its members the opportunity to network professionally and to actively participate in the community, with the goal of attracting, retaining and supporting young talent in Lancaster County. Through charitable, networking, social and educational events, LYP hopes to demonstrate the tremendous resources and opportunities Lancaster County offers young professionals, and establish ourselves as a unified and influential voice in the community.

Vision

LYP’s purpose is to provide a forum for Lancaster County young professionals to serve in the community, network, socialize, and promote Lancaster County, utilizing the collective energy of a diverse group of individuals.

Serving the Community: LYP will be involved in civic activities in Lancaster County in order to open the line of communication between ourselves and other non-profit organizations. By providing service to the community in which we work and live, we establish ourselves as a strong and viable voice in Lancaster County.

Networking: LYP will establish monthly mixers to provide an environment for young professionals to network. Networking mixers allow professionals to share their diverse backgrounds, philosophies and occupations, and to make contacts so they may improve their business and professional development.

Social: LYP will coordinate a variety of social events to allow members to interact and enhance their interpersonal skills. These social events will be held at local establishments in order to create an awareness of our organization as well as support our local businesses.

Personal and Professional Development: LYP will host regular seminars to educate members on topics and issues relevant to young professionals. Internal speakers will be utilized whenever possible, thus promoting our internal resources.

Promoting Lancaster County: Through charitable, networking, social and educational events, LYP will demonstrate the tremendous resources and opportunities Lancaster County offers to young professionals. Attracting and retaining young professionals is paramount to the continued success and growth of our county.
