Celebrating 19 years running on Saturday, April 29, the YWCA Lancaster’s Race Against Racism is anĀ annual 5k run/walk that has been a staple of our community and a family-friendly way to take a stand against racism. Funds raised from the Race Against Racism funds YWCA Lancaster’s social justice and advocacy programs. LYP is looking to continue its annual support of this event by offering a team of passionate and motivated LYP volunteers.

About The YWCA Lancaster

As stated on the YWCA’s Lancaster’s website: “YWCA Lancaster is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.”

Information For Volunteers

LYP volunteers will be positioned throughout the race course as course marshals to provide direction to participants. Volunteers should dress for the weather; athletic or casual wear may be most appropriate.
