The 3rd floor of the Ware Center was transformed into Jay Gatsby’s 1920s era Mansion, located on the beautiful shores of West Egg, New York, for the grandest party of the year. Guests arrived at 7 PM in their best formal party attire for the cocktail hour and hors’ d’ouvres displayed via a 20 foot meat and cheese wall. Dinner was catered by the Gypsy Kitchen and featured famous dishes from the 1920s and dessert was sponsored by Sugar on Top, which was served via our make-your-own donut bar. During the event which was emceed by Jere Gish of WGAL, we highlighted the fantastic growth LYP has had over the last year, as well as introduced all twenty-five community members nominated for the Lancaster Young Influencer Award and of course, announced the winners.

Lancaster Young Influencer Award
During the Red Rose Gala, the Lancaster Young Influencer Award is presented to one male and one female young professional who live or work in Lancaster County and demonstrate a deep commitment to the community through volunteerism, as well as success in the workplace. The Red Rose Gala Through The Years
In 2016, Lancaster Young Professionals hosted its 2nd Annual Red Rose Gala on October 20th at the gorgeous Excelsior in downtown Lancaster. Emceed by WGAL News Reporter and LYP Member Meredith Jorgenson, she shared her experiences with pursuing her dream of starting her own business (Life and Legacies) while using her networking abilities and working full-time. Also, Lentz Films debuted a 7-minute video featuring board members and committee members of how they are impacting the Lancaster community though LYP. During the gala, the Lancaster Young Influencer Award was presented to its 2016 recipients, Maian Ly of Wells Fargo and Josh Kiefer of Bench Mark Program. Proceeds raised during the silent auction portion of the event were donated to A Week Away for the second year, as selected by the award recipients.
In 2015, the Lancaster Young Professionals held its inaugural Red Rose Gala on Wednesday, October 28th at the Cork Factory Hotel. Emceed by WGAL News Anchor and LYP Board Member Danielle Woods, the 2015 Red Rose Gala featured two influential community speakers, Bob Shoemaker from the Lancaster City Alliance and Lisa Riggs from the Economic Development Company of Lancaster County. During the gala, the Lancaster Young Influencer Award was presented to its 2015 recipients, Joshua Funk of Annie Bailey’s/TFB Restaurants and Co. and Nicole Vasquez of That Shuu Girl Boutique. Proceeds raised during the silent auction portion of the event were donated to A Week Away, as selected by the award recipients.
