Open Streets Lancaster - Volunteer Event

We are looking for volunteers to help with the clean up of Open Streets Lancaster. Clean up will be from 2:30-4pm. If you are interested in volunteering, RSVP here and we will send out information closer to the day of!

ALSO we will be having an LYP table set up that day to help spread the word on all things LYP so swing on by to say hi and bring your friends!

Presented by Lancaster Rec and held in partnership with Lancaster City and the Lancaster Bikes program, Open Streets is a free family-friendly event that temporarily transforms Water Street into a pedestrian mall – complete with music, food, shopping, activities promoting physical well-being, civic pride, and personal and community connections.

Open Streets Lancaster creates 8 blocks of safe, car-free streets so that community members can walk, bike, blade, and skate to engage in dozens of recreational activities. Our event helps our community reimagine public space to prioritize people over cars, provide easy access to health-oriented programming, and promote local economic development. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about local non-profit services and businesses, shop locally, and get to know their neighbors.
